Whether its walking along the Tea Trails in Sri Lanka, the Black river Gorges in Mauritius, Silhouette island national park in Seychelles or swimming in Hanifaru bay in the Maldives. There is so much more to the Indian Ocean than just incredible beaches, luxurious resorts and great weather.

If I had to pick one resort to go back to again and again, it would have to be the Ceylon Tea Trails in Sri Lanka. There is something so special about staying in the beautiful Tea Planters Bungalows and experiencing a little slice of old world charm while surrounded by the most jaw dropping scenery. My favourite place to have a meal would have to be the underwater restaurant at Anantara Kihavah in Maldives.

Tucked into the side of the coral Reef, you can live out your fantasies of dining like a James Bond villain with a five course lobster champagne meal, watching the abundant marine life swim pass your table.

Insider Tip: 

Get yourself sorted with snorkelling equipment as soon as you arrive on resort and ask the guys at the dive centre where the best parts of the reef are. In the Maldives my favourite thing to do is swim around the house 360 degrees around the island following the drop off.
