About Svetlana
As Vice President of Global Tourism for the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, Svetlana Yazovskikh leads the department’s efforts to position Philadelphia as an attractive travel destination to visitors from around the world.
She leads the Global Tourism sales team, headquartered in Philadelphia, that promotes the destination in over 25 global markets both directly and through the network of seven international offices.
Her extensive career in the travel and tourism industry includes overseeing sales and marketing teams around the world and driving initiatives such as strategic planning, destination sales, multi-platform advertising, and niche marketing, to name a few.
Svetlana attained a Bachelor of Arts in strategic and organizational communications with a public relations concentration from Temple University and is a graduate of the Certified Travel Industry Specialist program at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
She serves on the board of directors for the Philadelphia Russian-Speaking Professionals Network (RSPN) and Philadelphia British-American Business Council (BABC), as well as on the advisory board for the International Inbound Travel Association (IITA).
A native of Yekaterinburg, Russia, Svetlana has been a proud resident of Philadelphia for the past two decades and is most passionate about keeping this exceptional city in the global spotlight.
