About Todd:
After taking some extension courses from UC Davis in 2001, Todd started making wine at Dos Cabezas WineWorks in 2002 as an assistant winemaker. Todd now shares winemaking & vineyard management duties with his wife, Kelly. In 2015, Kelly & Todd were named among “10 Winemakers to Watch” by the San Francisco Chronicle. Their wines have been served at multiple White House state dinners. They produce around 5,000 cases of wine every year at the winery in Sonoita, AZ.
Background information about the winery
Since 1995, Dos Cabezas WineWorks has been growing grapes and producing wines in Southern Arizona. Originally located in Kansas Settlement, the winery and 80 acres of vineyard were pioneered by the late visionary, Al Buhl. Todd Bostock joined the team as winemaker in 2002 and by the end of 2006, the Bostock family took over operations of the winery, and it was moved to Sonoita where it resides today. The winery is supplied with distinctive, high-quality fruit from its two estate vineyards: Pronghorn Vineyard in Sonoita, and Cimarron Vineyard in the Kansas Settlement. Dos Cabezas has been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle, Wine Spectator Magazine, the Washington Post & the Financial Times of London. The winery TastingRoom in Sonoita is open to visitors all year long.
Brief background information about Arizona Wine
Known for its exceptional adventure and outdoor offering, the Grand Canyon State has a huge variety of other experiences to offer, including its award-winning wineries. In Arizona’s high deserts, three major grape-growing regions have taken root—Sonoita, Willcox, and Verde Valley. Since the 1970s, these locally made wines have earned international acclaim, won numerous awards, and have even been served in the White House. What better to do after a day of exploring than sit back and relax with a glass of the local wine?
